I was surprised at Datuk Dr. Jeffery kitingan’s announcement to decline contest vice president in the Majlis Perwakilan Pusat election as many cabang had nominated him for Vice President’s post. I hope he will continue his role in defending the rights of Sabahan.

He was put behind bar under ISA for 30 months during Tun Mahathir’s government because he raised the 20 points under Malaysia constitution. He was a misunderstood man because of his conviction.

He jumps party in search of a party that can be a right platform for him to championing or defend the rights of Sabah. How many leaders willing to do that? With his withdrawal, he will no longer be in the Parti keadilan Rakyat national level; I feel I lost a partner in our struggle for Sabah right in Parti Keadlian Rakyat.
